Day Dream

So often I sit in silence
And my thoughts are all of you
I long for your closeness
And your arms to hold me dear

My heart is over flowing
My soul sings but your praise
Still there is a sadness
I so long to have you near

Fate is such a trickster
What a joke it has played on me
I was allowed to find my missing piece
Just not allowed to keep it here

So I sit silently gazing
At this beautiful star filled sky
All of me longing to hear you say
"Hush now, have no fear."

I so wish that for just a moment
You could see deep into my soul
So that all I try to tell you
Would suddenly be clear.

Reality Check

Wow, I started this blog as a brain dump...just venting out all my problems in order to put them into perspective.

But as I sit here at my laptop, I am also watching the Today Show. The story of the women who is the first US face transplant was on. And you know what, my issues don't mean shit!

That will really make you think twice about the things in your life that you whine and cry about, now won't it.

I'm sure I will regain the ability to whine, after all it's human nature right?

But just now, no, I have nothing, there is nothing in my life so upsetting that I could put more thought into it than that poor women problems.

When You Thought I Wasn't looking

Upon checking my email this morning this was in my inbox. What a wonderful reminder. I don't know who originally wrote it but I felt it was certainly worth sharing. As I read through this I stopped to think about the things I have shown my children.

wanted to paint another one.

stray cat, and I learned that it was good to be kind
to animals.

Why write? Why blog?

So this is one of those things I been thinking about blogging for some time. Why do I write? And More specifically why am I hear blogging on thoughts.

Someone once asked me why I write so much. Without even thinking about it I replied.

Because it's what I do. It's who I am.

That answer cuts to the core of it. When I roll it around in my mind the things it suggest are of profound significance to me. It explains it all, yet it explains nothing.

There are many reasons why I write and I doubt I am aware of all of them. I love stories. Who doesn't? Some people may hate reading, but everyone loves a good story.
